This achievement came against the South Africa team in 3 ODI series 2^nd match in which Tendulkar scored 93 runs and missed out 100 again second consecutive times in the series as before this he got run out on 99 in first ODI of the same series. Although, he was bit scratchy at the start of the series as he took 143 balls to score 99 runs.

In the 18^th over Sachin Tendulkar took single to reach this mile stone and became first man on the planet to reach 15000 runs mark in the ODI’s. This accomplishment of Tendulkar is grand news for Indian fans after a horrible exit of Indian team from 2007 World Cup.
