Here is the list of players with 150 Tests with number of years and days
Player | Years and Days |
Alastair Cook | 11 years, 288 days |
Rahul Dravid | 14 years, 200 days |

However, Alastair Cook could not make this achievement memorable and only 7 runs in 16 balls returned pavilion. Left arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc got Cook out LBW. Somehow Alastair Cook is not in good form Since his last innings of 243 runs in the Birmingham against the West Indies. Cook has made only 130 runs in his last nine innings with no fifties. That is his second-worst nine-innings sequence in Tests. He made 129 runs in nine innings in 2014 – the only other time he has batted nine innings without a fifty.
This morning when England won the toss and elected to bat first, they wouldn’t have ask better start more than this as they are already scored more than 300 runs for loss of just four wickets at the end of day 1 close. It’s already their highest total of the series. Malan (110 not out) made his maiden Test century, an innings that was so impressive in so many different ways; and Bairstow (75 not out) , promoted to No. 6, reached his highest score against Australia. Both the batsman at crease and added 174* runs for the 5th wicket.
