Yesterday: Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman and Imam ul Haq made the world record partnership for the first wicket in the ODI’s. Zaman and Haq added 304 runs for the first wicket in the fourth one-day game against Zimbabwe here. Fakhar Zaman scored an unbeaten 210 in 156 balls and Imam ul Haq scored 113 runs in 122 balls. Imam was caught by Mascadza at Muscanda’s hands. With the help of both of these Pakistan scored 399 runs for the loss of just 1 wicket in 50 overs. This is his highest score in ODIs for Pakistan.
This was also the higesht partnership for the 1st wicket as the duo added 304 runs for the opening wicket. Eariler this record was in the name of Upul Tharanga and Sanath Jayasuriya both added 286 runs against England at Leeds.

Earlier highest score for Pakistan was 385 for 7 in 50 overs against Bangladesh in Dambulla on 21 June 2010. The record of making the highest score in ODIs is in the name of England. England scored 481 runs for 6 wickets against Australia on June 19, 2018.
Fakar Zaman become the first Pakistani batsmen to score double hundred in ODIs and overall 6th player to do so Zaman hit 24 fours and five sixes during his innings. Before him, the record for making the highest runs in an innings from Pakistan was on Saeed Anwar’s name. Anwar scored 194 runs in 146 balls against India in Chennai on May 21, 1997.
In ODIs so far 8 double centuries are scored, 5 times out 8 of these, Indians crossed 200 runs Sachin Tendulkar (200) and Virender Sehwag (219) made a double century once. Rohit Sharma did this three times and scored 264, 209 and 208 runs. He scored 264 against Sri Lanka in Kolkata in November 2014.
